Chariot’s newest partner, Give Lively, has introduced DAFs as a payment option across their leading fundraising technology solutions.

New York, NY -- Thursday December 18 -- Chariot, the donor-advised fund payments company, announced today a landmark partnership with Give Lively, the pioneering fundraising platform whose free technology has been used by thousands of nonprofits to process over $1.35 billion in giving to date.

As the money committed to philanthropy in DAFs continues to grow exponentially, reaching $326 billion in 2024, the opportunity to grow DAF giving is critical for nonprofits. Despite having these dedicated charitable funds set aside, 88% of DAF donors continue making donations outside of their DAF in more “inspiration-based” giving moments. That’s a missed opportunity for nonprofits because when donors give from their DAF instead of other methods (like a credit card), they increase their gift size by 10x on average.

That’s the gap that Give Lively is bridging, helping nonprofits get more DAF donors and dollars with a native DAFpay integration right where it is most effective: the checkout experience for online donation forms.

“Give Lively has focused on making gifting money to charity as easy as buying a cup of coffee from your local shop. Interfaces to donate via DAF have been hard to use and time consuming. Yet the potential value of DAF donations to nonprofits is huge. By partnering with Chariot, we get to help our member nonprofits take advantage of the DAF opportunity — regardless of an organization’s size or budget,” shared David DeParolesa, Give Lively’s CEO. “We’re proud to deliver DAFpay as a core part of our platform for any public charity in the U.S.”

DAFpay is all about reducing friction for donors. Instead of having to navigate away from a donation form when they want to use their DAF, they can complete the DAF grant recommendation in 3 clicks and a few seconds – without leaving the nonprofit’s site. Less friction means more giving from the most high potential donors - the median DAF account size at Fidelity Charitable (the largest DAF Provider in the country) is ~$25,000.

“Chariot’s partnership with Give Lively is an important step forward in our efforts to put easy DAF giving in front of every donor, whenever they are inspired to give,” added Salo Serfati, Chariot’s Co-Founder & CEO. “We are proud to work with such a mission-aligned partner like Give Lively, who provides top-of-the-line fundraising technology to any size organization.”

Nonprofits interested in exploring the Give Lively platform can apply here for free, no string attached, and anyone interested in taking full advantage of Chariot - including receiving digital grant payments from our growing list of Chariot Disbursement* partners on top of using DAFpay Claim your account today.
