Introducing the DAF Day Awards!

Chariot introduces the first-ever prizes for outstanding DAF Day campaigns in 2025

Thousands of organizations across the country have been working hard to thoughtfully prepare their DAF Day 2025 campaigns - culminating in the official holiday for DAF giving on October 9th. In addition to supplying all the marketing resources, educational opportunities and technology behind DAF Day, Chariot is also committing to fund or supply the prizes for the first-ever DAF Day Awards!

These awards will recognize successful fundraising, creative leadership and effective marketing for DAF Day!

There are 8 categories - 5 for nonprofits & 3 for DAF providers. The prizes for nonprofits will be a $500 - $1,000 donation from Chariot. The prize for DAF winners will be 1 year of free access to Chariot Disbursements. For voted categories, the Chariot team will determine the finalists based on the merits of their submissions and Chariot’s Nonprofit Advisory Council will vote to determine the winners! Winners, finalists and honorable mention submissions will all be announced following DAF Day, spotlighting many organizations putting in a great effort for DAF Day for the whole sector to see. 

In order to participate, your nonprofit must have a verified Chariot Deposit Account and you must submit your campaign elements to dafdayawards@givechariot.com by October 9, 2025 at 12:00 pm PST. DAF Providers must officially commit to DAF Day in advance of October 9th, which requires confirmation of promoting DAF Day and sharing grant making results.

Nonprofit DAF Day Awards

1. Most DAFpay Donations

   1. Highest number of gift requests made through DAFpay from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM PST on October 9th. 

   2. Prize: $1,000 

      
      

2. Most Innovative DAF Day Campaign Element

   1. Recognizing an organization that went the extra mile and tried something outside the box to power their campaign. 

   2. Prize: $500

      
      

3. Most Creative DAF Day Social Post

   1. Recognizing an organization that took their social game for DAF Day to the next level (any social media platform can qualify). 

   2. Prize: $500

      
      

4. Most Compelling DAF Day Email

   1. Recognizing an organization that created powerful DAF Day messaging to move their supporters to action. 

   2. Prize: $500

      
      

5. Most Effective DAF Day Mail Item

   1. Recognizing an organization that delivered a truly stand-out mailing to their supporters. 

   2. Prize: $500

DAF Provider DAF Day Awards

1. Most DAFpay Gifts Made

   1. Recognizing the DAF that best mobilized their fundholders and took advantage of the only DAF payment option to be a full part of DAF Day in real time.

   2. Calculated as the highest number of gift requests made to a single DAF through DAFpay from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM PST on October 9th. 

      
      

2. Most Innovative DAF Day Campaign Element

   1. Recognizing the DAF that truly made the most of its DAF Day campaign and effectively engaged their audience in new or unexpected ways. 

      
      

3. Most Compelling DAF Day Communication

   1. Recognizing the DAF that stepped up on DAF Day and got the most resonant message out to their community (any communication form - email, social, etc - is accepted).

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, nonprofit participants must:

• Claim their Chariot Deposit Account before October 9, 2025. 

• Submit screen shots, image files and descriptions of their DAF Day campaign elements to dafdayawards@givechariot.com before 12:00 pm PST on October 9, 2025. 

• Multiple campaign elements that qualify for multiple awards can be included in a single submission email. 

• No organization can win more than one category. 

To qualify, DAF participants must:

• Officially commit to DAF Day in advance of October 9, 2025, which requires that a DAF sign up here. 

• DAFs are only eligible for the Chariot Disbursements prize if they do not already have a signed contract with Chariot for this offering. The prize is for a single year of free access including up to 4,000 grant payments per year.
