Top nonprofit executives in fundraising, finance, data and technology for leading organizations across the country join this critical group to more deeply partner in advancing Chariot’s mission.

This week, Chariot officially launched our Nonprofit Advisory Council with a group of outstanding leaders from a variety of nonprofit organizations across the country that are all passionate about our mission - to move more money from Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) to nonprofits faster.

Karyn DeMartini, the VP of Major, Principal and Planned Giving at March of Dimes joined the council because “Chariot is providing a donor-friendly, donor-centric tool which will automate internal processes and improve accuracy. It's a win for donors, a win for staff, and a win for our mission!”

Our 9 inaugural council members bring a combined 145 years of industry experience to help guide and advise Chariot’s work building innovative solutions to nonprofits’ biggest challenges.

Michele Sommer, the CFO of Pan-Mass Challenge and councilmember shares that “I am a huge fan of Chariot because they have made it easy for donors to make DAF grants directly from a non-profit website."

ree

"They have removed the challenges that impeded putting DAF dollars to work. Unlocking the $230 billion in DAFs will have a huge impact on the philanthropic landscape. Bravo!”

The council will be engaged in our strategic planning, product development and nonprofit engagement efforts as we continuously improve our DAF fundraising products and expand our reach to help every nonprofit. In addition to shaping Chariot’s development to meet their most pressing needs, members are also excited to become part of such an esteemed working group that values innovation, transparency and exchange of ideas.

Jay Jump, the Senior Vice President of Digital Product at American Cancer Society, says “it’s so incredible to be in a space with a group of my peers where everyone has a helping and sharing attitude."

ree

"We’re all clearly working toward a common goal of activating more DAF dollars and excited to help Chariot and each other.”

We look forward to collaborating with the council in our periodic full group sessions, on educational articles for nonprofit leaders and presentations at upcoming industry conferences. Our biggest near=term initiative that our council is helping to drive is the First-Ever Nonprofit DAF Benchmark Study

Carlos Pena, the Director of Donor Advised Funds for the International Rescue Committee is excited about the study because “this is sure to revolutionize how non-profit organizations effectively analyze donor data through the lens of DAF giving."

ree

"I am most excited about delving into my organization’s data to uncover individual giving trends and conversion rates via our omnichannel approach. My hope for this study is to clearly identify areas of opportunity that will inform subsequent strategies to continue tapping into the $230B ocean of DAF funding already committed for donation.”

We look forward to spotlighting more of our councilmembers’ outstanding work and contributions to the nonprofit sector at large in the coming months. Stay tuned for all that’s to come!

The refraction test is a key component of an eye exam, but it’s not the whole story. At OPTYX, a comprehensive eye exam evaluates overall eye health, checking for issues like glaucoma, cataracts, or retinal problems through tests like tonometry and dilated eye exams. Refraction specifically measures how light focuses in your eyes to determine the correct prescription for glasses or contacts. Using a phoropter, optometrists ask you to compare lenses to find the sharpest vision correction. Discover more details at https://optyx.com/eye-exam/what-is-the-difference-between-an-eye-exam-and-a-refraction/. Refraction is essential for addressing nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism but doesn’t detect underlying eye diseases. Comprehensive exams, recommended annually, provide a full picture of eye health, especially for those with family histories of eye conditions. OPTYX’s New York…
