The second annual DAF Day will be on Thursday October 9th, with a new site, new capabilities and new partners to show what Donor Advised Funds will do to meet the moment.

Monday June 16th, 2025, New York City - The national day of giving with Donor Advised Funds is back for year two, with ambitious goals to activate more philanthropy at a time of immense need for communities around the country.

Recapping DAF Day 2024

In 2024, Chariot partnered with dozens of leading nonprofits, fundraising platforms and Donor Advised Funds to introduce a new giving day to the calendar in early October: DAF Day. After announcing the new initiative on July 30th, the collaborative group spent 10 weeks educating and activating the sector for the first-ever DAF Day

The new giving day led to incredible results for the early adopters - and set the stage for an expanded platform, more support, longer campaign and deeper partnerships for DAF Day 2025. Nonprofits like Susan G. Komen went all-in across channels, and raised record amounts of DAF funding. DAF Providers like Daffy offered special promos for signing up friends and giving on DAF Day that led to a surge in new accounts and single-day giving.

What’s New in 2025

This year, the DAF Day movement has honed its focus on seamless donor experience, actionable nonprofit resources and DAF Provider collaboration. In today’s live kickoff to over 1,000 registered attendees, the key elements of DAF Day 2025 were unveiled publicly for the first time, including:

  • A brand new DAF Day website that helps DAF holders easily get involved and other supporters easily learn about donor advised funds.

  • A free “plug & play” marketing toolkit so nonprofits of any size can effectively activate their community.

  • A months-long webinar series leading up to October 9th, featuring expert speakers and targeted sessions for every group involved in the movement.

  • A DAF Day giving page that lets donors use any DAF via DAFpay to support eligible nonprofits in a few seconds.

“We know that donor advised funds have an incredible impact on giving, but we can’t wait any longer to harness their full potential,” shared Mitch Stein, Chariot’s Head of Strategy. “DAF Day creates the perfect shared opportunity, at a critical time, for passionate supporters, impactful nonprofits and leading DAF Providers to all amplify the same message: Your DAF will make the difference.”

  • Get the Marketing Toolkit: It contains a host of free resources (templates, graphics, messaging, etc.) to make participation as low lift as possible for any organization.

  • Get More Training: Sign up for all the upcoming free training and share with your teams.
