New Access Method for DAFgiving360 in DAFpay

Donors who use DAFgiving360 will now benefit from a new method to access DAFpay, further simplifying the login process and enhancing grant review. The process is fast and intuitive for donors, as detailed below.

Two important details to note:

  1. Limited to DAFgiving360: This change is only applicable to donors using DAFgiving360. Donors using other DAF providers in DAFpay will not experience any change due to this update.

  2. Limited initial scope: The new access method is being initially introduced with a limited group of nonprofits using DAFpay. Nonprofits will be notified when they are added to the group.

Please know that we are working to enable this for more nonprofits swiftly. If you’d like to submit a request for your organization, you can do so here

Simplifying Login Process

Step 1: Upon selecting DAFgiving360 in any DAFpay instance, a donor will be prompted to verify the email associated with their DAFgiving360 account (via emailed code). The donor will also have the option to enable passkey access (e.g. Face ID), which means they won’t need their email to login to any instance of DAFpay with the same device.

Step 2: The donor will confirm their gift and contact details for the nonprofit by submitting the request.

Note: Nonprofits and fundraising platforms using DAFpay will see no change to the information they receive for DAFgiving360 gifts, either via Chariot’s API or Dashboard.

Enhancing Grant Review

If it is the donor’s first time using DAFpay via the new access method, they will get a call from DAFgiving360 after the request is submitted to confirm the connection and request. The DAFgiving360 team will then review, approve and disburse confirmed requests.

If, for whatever reason, a DAFgiving360 DAFpay gift is not ultimately submitted, the donor will be notified and the nonprofit will see the status changed to “canceled” in their dashboard. This gives increased visibility to donors and nonprofits on gift status directly from DAFgiving360.

We will keep this article up-to-date with the latest details and share any material updates with our partners directly.
