Data Privacy

Our policies strictly govern what data our system interacts with, uses and stores. 

Data storage.

Chariot’s system limits what items are stored, and for how long, to reduce system exposure to sensitive information. 

With DAFpay, for example. Chariot’s system stores items that a donor user submits to be shared with the receiving nonprofit and does not store sensitive details such as username, password, account balance & donation history.

Disclosure.

Chariot goes to great lengths to ensure that our data privacy practices and commitments are clearly disclosed to all potential users, including:

Information We Collect

As explained in greater detail below, Chariot may collect the following:

  • [Not Stored] DAF Provider Donor Credentials

    • Only used as a one time secure passthrough to allow a DAF Donor to access their DAF Provider via DAFpay and effect a donation to the Nonprofit of their choice in the moment they’re inspired to give);​

  • Transaction Information: Only collected if explicity provided to DAFpay by the donor:

    • Date & Time

    • Frequency

    • Amount,

    • DAF Provider,

    • Fund Name,

    • Donor Name,

    • Donor Email Address,

    • Donor Mailing Address

Transparent terms.

Anyone that interacts with Chariot is prompted to review and accept the relevant policies to them.
